We meet to ride three times a week, for fun, fitness, and friendship. Practices are built around trail time, exploration, and shared experience — no racing required.
Racing is optional, but for those who are ready, we provide support, training, and a community that shows up to cheer. Whether it’s your first start line or your tenth, we focus on effort, not outcomes.
Our Girls Riding Together (GRiT) program helps riders build confidence and connection through weekly girls’ rides, a dedicated coaching culture, and a team environment where showing up as yourself is enough.
Our coaches are NICA-certified, experienced, and committed to creating a safe, inclusive space. We coach the whole rider — with a focus on skill-building, confidence, and respect for self and others.
We teach riders to care for the trails they ride and the people they ride with. Through Leave No Trace principles, community service, and positive team culture, we help riders grow into respectful outdoor athletes.
Welcome to the CNY Sharks Mountain Bike Team. We’re a co-ed youth mountain bike team based in Central New York, serving riders in grades 5 through 12. Whether your child is brand new to trails or already loves racing, the CNY Sharks offer a place to grow, ride, and belong.
Our team is part of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) New York League, and we offer seasonal programs focused on fitness, trail skills, racing (optional!), and building a positive team culture. All skill levels are welcome.
We ride local trails, support one another, and believe every young rider deserves the chance to experience mountain biking — regardless of background, experience, or ability.

Too often, girls apologize for simply being on the trail—when what they really mean is thank you. Here’s why we’re encouraging athletes to shift their language and own their space.
