Last year at the Lake Placid World Cup, a few lucky Sharks had an unexpected encounter with Evie. Not only did she graciously let us interrupt her day, she talked with every person, signed everything we handed her — and then invited us to the Trek tent the next day with a surprise: this signed jersey, gifted specifically for us to use as a fundraiser. It wasn’t just generous — it was unforgettable.
Yes, Evie is a world-class athlete — but what makes her a true role model is her kindness, energy, and ability to connect with people of all ages. She makes everyone feel seen. The kids (and adults!) who met her that weekend walked away with memories they will carry forever.
